Will Vortech work on the Rev-up?

2006 Rev-up 6mt? Will my test pipes give too much flow?

Thanks

vortech currently doesn't work on the 06 rev up engine

test pipes are fine, you'll gain power, lower your boost pressure (a good thing actually), but you'll lose some low end power

The Rev-UP motor and for that fact the 05 G35 6mt and up seems to be a little redheaded step child as far as aftermarket.

I can't find anything for my 05 6MT as far as aftermarket brake pads, rotors or the same thing your looking for.

I'm also in the market to go FI with something conservative but i have yet to find a SC for the Rev-Up motor.
Hopefully these aftermarket vendors will come to the realization that the coupe with Rev-Up motor will be from 05-07 meaning that is an extra year there than just 03/04. I see it as a bigger market share to sell products I don't know how they seeing it though.

Until then im staying NA and just doing prep work for the day these vendors decided to start supporting the Rev-Up motor.

It's not like they aren't working on rev-up units at all. I know Vortech has been working on their rev-up kit for a while now. I guess its a little more complicated than it looks.

I know we're not specifically talking about TN here, but a dude over on my350z(can't remember handle) had to completely relocate certain steering components to get the TN kit to fit his revup z. I don't know what's involved for the g, but that should demonstrate the amount of effort it will take for other kits as well.

Mark at SGP has suggested that I go w/ the Grreddy TT. TT are really more that I want (my goal is 360whp) but Mark says its really the best system for the Rev-up and if we run low boost it will be safe for my stock internals and compatible w/ my mods. He is willing to give me the TT for 6K. If he will include a deal on installation and the HKS F-con (there is a brand new EM system called the F-Con IS w/ is much cheaper that the V-pro and way better than the Emanage Ultimate).

If I can get the TT, HKS, install and tune for 8 K I will go for it...

Check this out. http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...2006_350z.html This charge cooled system will increase horsepower and torque from 300/260 stock to 440/352 supercharged at 9 psig*. (Please note this system has only been verified to fit manual transmissions)

i'm waiting to call up Vortech to see how many components are different from that new kit and the non-rev up kits

Vortech finished the kit for REvup motors... I saw an actual 06 with the vortech kit on it... The guy had it done by vortech when they where asking for a car to test/fabricate the kit on... He said the kit should be out pretty soon... That was in october... So i'm guessing that it should be out by now...
Here's a pic of the kit on the 06... Took the pic at the Red Robin/T.I. Meet ... Sorry don't know who's G this is... But he is on the forum...

Thanks!!!

Any more info about the 06 kit? It's not listed on vortech's site. They only show 05 G and 06 Z 6mt's.

i like the new way they wrap the belt. it looks like it has alot better "wrap" around the driven pulley. this setup should not have the same belt slippage problems of the non revup engines.

That would be mine , the new kit actually comes with the 3.12 pulley, hence the bump in power.
