Im Pissed About My Car!

OMG MY CAR!! ANyone wanna buy it!?!? no one can figure out what the hell is wrong with it! THe car is running off 1 crank sensor and it keeps throwing up the same code (crank position sensor error). weve tried switching out the ECU (split second) with a brand new one and even tried bypassing it but nothing! we checked the flex plate and its perfectly fine. We change out the crank sensors 8-9 times and none of em work. The only sensor that allows the car to start up is the one off Tim's @ SPeed Force Racings nissan 350z. WTF!?!?!?!? We tried everything but no cigar. The dealer wont even touch it cause its "too modified". ANYONE PLEASE ANYONE CHIME IN WITH IDEAS.... Im getting pissed and frustrated. We dumped a brand new factory ECU and Harness in btw. lemme know if you have ANY ideas. THanks guys/girls?

Sounds like the SS box got miswired, though I'm not familiar enough with it to elaborate.

Yeah, sounds like one of the connections is loose. Try running complete new wires from the crank sensor to the SS.

^ how do you lemon a modified car?

Almost sounds like the engine harness is screwed, or wrong. Gs and Zs are different harnesses.

Weird - I think you have eliminated electrical issues with the ecu swap, harness swap, and sensor swap. I would consider the possibility that the code is a red herring. I would check manifold, hoses for vacuum leaks... I mean if you have fuel and air, it should be academic after that.

Can you log anything using a tool like Cipher or Consult?

I have the cipher. I'm going to be at VRT tomorrow, I can leave it with Mike And Scott maybe that would help.

What does SFR have to say?

Let's see.........fully built engine with FI application........he could be putting out near 500+ to the wheels. Not many people can afford that kind of car setup stock. Geez even if he got a Viper, he'd still need to do something in order to match the power potential.
