Turbo and throttle position sensor.
Ever since I had my APS single installed last November I have had an issue with the throttle position sensor. I drive somewhere getting the engine nice and hot, shut the car off, come back an hour or so later starting the car only to have the slip and vdc lights come on. At that point the engine wont revup much so I go unplug the TPS, plug it back in and everything is fine. Anyone else experience this? What gives??
I had the same type of problem but with crankshaft position sensor when I had the Stillen system. Imagine it going into limp mode in bumper to bumper traffic! Happened twice. Only happened when idling for a very long time.
Have you tried a new sensor yet?

Nope havent tried a new sensor. Only got 17k on the car, 8k of which is with turbo. Only had it happen to me once while driving all the other times is on start up. Never happened prior to turbo.
Mine happened sub 10k miles, only happened with the supercharger. I would have to double check with VRT but I'm pretty sure they transfered the auxillary stuff from my blwon motor to my built motor.
Maybe try ebay for a complete throttlebody? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-05...spagenameZWDVW

I've had this happen twice and I'm not running any type of FI. Start the car and the VDC, Slip, and SES lights are on. The dealer said that the ecu was receiving eratic codes from the sensor and replaced the sensor/throttle body.
By the way, I've got about 16k miles on the car.
So far so good.

I'm a bit confused as to why the SLIP & VDC lights would come on with a TPS issue.
I had the SLIP/VDC issue with my car when I got my kit installed, but it was due to a steering wheel position sensor.

^^^No in my case I never saw the SES light. What I got was a front right brake that kept actuating every single time I started the car. I had to sit while the ECU figured everything out, once I sat for a minute or two it was OK to drive.
Sorry for getting off topic here PhxBlue.
