What do Turbo'd G's do in Cali???
If there is no Carb certified turbo's for our cars, what are all the Cali Turbo'd G's doing about the emission test? Do you have to take the turbo off every year and return the car to stock just to pass emissions or is there something else you do? Everyone that owns a turbo'd G, please chime in. Just curious.

I don't think its every year. there is certain restrictions and it also depends on how old is your car.... i believe it has to be very old too. You also need smog when your registriation is expeired or title transfer. you can find out more at www.dmv.ca.gov

According to this sheet if you are the original owner and it was smogged the first time it was registered for the first 6 years no smog checks are needed.

On the 7th year and every year after it is every other year smog checks. Change or ownership smog checks are required from the 5th year on out. I got to that pdf from here http://www.smogcheck.ca.gov/stdFolde...fo/Factsheets/
