$5k is just too much money for upgraded clutchpacks, VB and a torque converter. But we'll pay it because we drive imports. I can get a competition powerglide tranny for $3500. Just got to find a way to make it fit.

My car is at Level 10 and it is their kit.It is being done in a way that a good local shop can do it and save the transportation.Yes,you should also do the VB and the TC is dependent on applicatin.I was the prototype for the FX VB and elimination of the delay shifting, the VB and TC are alive and well at 30K+

Should have added earlier that the ECU backs timing out as well...not just Nis/Inf but most manufactures today.Everyone has learned how to make these transmissions live within normal parameters,it took some old school technology to further increase their power handling ability. It has gotten easier to build the power now we can live with it

Talked to 2 parts managers, not sure they actually checked, they thought it was different, but not sure...actually should ask my tech since he sees them

Got to my Tech and he said that they have a 6" driveshaft, built super heavy, did not think it was the same

My HKS SC is coming to my G35x,

Do I expect tranny to fail?

Without VB & TC upgrade, would adding a transmission cooler help?

A tranny cooler is always helpful when it comes to the life of your auto tranny. Everything fails sometime, it's just a matter of when.

Hopefully a rebuild solution for the auto trannys will present itself within the next couple of months.

I agree that F/I is more reliable than NOS/etc., and turbos are more efficient HP but more $$.

roneski, if you like the sound of roots blowers, theres a vid of a different animal in the sig.

I have a 2005 G35X, and I am think to install the Vortech SC on my car. Could you please tell us the part number of your Vortech SC? Also, do you need to make any modification to fit the SC on your car?
Thanks
