I talked to ATI today about the Procharger for the G35 sedan. They said they had test fitted a sedan but due to fitment issues with the belt driven fans they have put the project on the back burner to focus on the FX35. It sounded like they did not have much hope of doing the kit for the sedan anytime in the near future.

 

That's a bummer. The sedan is the one member of the group most in need of a power boost.

6mt sedan doesn't drive it's fans from pullies. It's use's electric fans just like the Z.

With 5 percent of sedan production being 6 mt's the R&D costs will never be offset by the number of kits sold. I can't see it happening. A coupe kit may have to be adapted to the sedan.

 

I'll bet putting a coupe fitment on the 6mt sedan would be a non issue fitment wise. But who would be willing to risk that much money. Even though I don't see a risk. Would be worth it for a 6mt sedan owner to meet up with a coupe owner that has the system and to compair, with a eye bent on proving their's any real difference in fitment.

I have en e-mail in with ATI now to inform them of the difference between the A/T and the M/T fan systems. From their initial response in tech I don't think they know about the difference.I think the blower fitment will be O.K. too but I worry about the intercooler piping. The fender and bumper shapes are slightly different which may cause a problem. I know from other posts it is already tight on the coupe. Who wants to be the test mule if ATI refuses to make the kit.???
