When you get your hood worked on, make sure to leave room for a strut brace. Then take exact measurements, and share with the rest of the community

VRT makes a strut brace that will work with the Stillen. It just goes around the front. Everyone that has one seems to really like it.

Do I have to have a strut brace with SC?

My G35x doesn't come with that.

No.
None of the G's come with a strut brace.

My point was that by adjusting the contour and interior space underneath the hood, maybe more options than just the VRT would be available. But that's just a guess; I don't know what other braces work with the stillen.

It would be nice to have other options.

There are only a couple strut bars out and the VRT is the only one that can be made to fit the Stillen.

all this info goin around about superchargers for the rev-up motor.

i dont know what to belive anymore.

i think that kit is only for the z's cause according to that guy running the vortech groupbuy, vortech has a kit for the revup motor only for the z's.

i also read somewhere else that vortech has a kit for the 05 g rev up but not the 06 g revup. i dont know if thats true. does that make any sense that theyd have one for the 05 but not the 06s.

i wish somone really knew what was going on and could let us know.

As far as I know the new vortech and stillen are for both the 05 and 06 revup engine. If you are in the market for one of these just call the manufacturer and ask them.

Stillen just released the Stage 2 kit for the 2006 6MT coupe motor (is that what some are calling the "revup" motor?). I have one on order, may be shipped this week. They also have fiberglass hoods and scoops. For ~$250 extra, you can buy a 3/36k warranty on the motor. I bought it.

I ordered the Stage 2 kit because they said it could be many weeks or ??? before they release the Stage 3 kit.

From what they told us, to upgrade from Stage 2 to Stage 3 requires reprogramming, more fuel (larger 7th injector?) and pulleys. So it sounds practical to upgrade.

LTGTR!

Sounds like the stage 3 is like the stage 4 for the non revup. The numbers look more like the stage 4 too. Maybe they are not making the old version of the stage 3...
