I bet it does move! You've got a pretty good set of complementary mods that those who go straight to FI never get around to. On top of that, she's a 5AT. I never did mind having an AT when it was boosted. That constant, forward surge is hard to beat!

Update

OK -

So I played with her a little bit

The ramp I usually test with gets me to about 80MPH before I hit the actual freeway. With the Charger it hits about 102 now.

Last night I re-installed my APEXI-SAFCII and loaded an SC map and my old map from NA.

After the ECU reset - the first run on SC map, the car went about 112, the 2nd run 116.

I loaded my old NA map, reset the ECU and ran 121 and then again 126 or so...couldn't look down too long

Can't wait for the dyno and real tune.....

What do you mean still? It's pretty quiet actually...just a little whistle and general blower whine...but real low.

Isn't that Vortech has that gurgling/rattle sound on the blower when Idle and that is why most choose to raise the idle just to minimize the sound?

If your on it hard, and the blower is hot, it does do that a bit, not really bad though. You have to treat it like a turbo and let it cool a bit and it's OK. It rarely does it though.

Will do - I need to get it tuned first though. I don't want to be too hard on it until then. I will video it when the tune happens.

are u running the 3.12 pulley or 3.33? When do u think u will be getting it tuned? I'm curious about the pw u will make with all those mods u had done to the head and cams. Also, did u ever get a VB done or just the stock one?

Running the 3.12 as far as we know...we had 2 kits - one had the pulley marked 3.12 the other did not...so not sure, but that ID is going to be taken care later this week.

I have a full custom race trans from Japan...it's all done...but can't talk more about it. Put it this way manual mode...it chirps, then chirps again, and sometimes again

The car just rocks with the 3.92 gears as well.

u can check the pulley, it should say 3.12 on the pulley or u can measure it. Are u going to be tunning with the ss box and the afc?

That's the plan - I haven't really figured out how I want to tune it completely yet. I may experiment, AS USUAL

Rick - Did your build plan originally involve going far with NA mods and then moving on to FI, or was FI a power-bug that bit you recently after tapping most of the NA mods?
