You got it right...

The bolts are changed and stronger in that block. The cams are also a different profile, giving the car more top end, but less torque down low.

They UPPED the HP up top...so RevUP...

Sure -

The overall result of a good port and polish and cams with valve train, result in virtually the same HP results as the custom matched heads did, with the same cams and valve-train match - within 2%.

For a higher compression motor build however, if you did the full bottom end as well and are going for mass HP, the heads make more difference in the realm of 19% HP increase over the port and polish only.

They breathe much better, hands down, but if the car can't process or even produce a level of combustibility that they will provide, it's a waste.

Save the additional $3000-$4000 on the bare heads and buy the blower or turbo kit - or enhance that with a proper fuel system, or transmission/VB kit/clutch, maybe even gears or a tune and bottom end strengthening, or even bling...hey maybe even a vacation! OR use it for a downpayment on a daily driver so you can really build the $hit out of the car
