Thanks for the clarification, Dean, most appreciated. The stock dual mass flywheel is very quiet, and the Nismo single is still quite good, probably the way the 6mt should come in the first place in a performance package set up. But when you go down to the JWT and others you will get that "cement mixer" grind or rattle noise. Nothing wrong with it, just in the background at idle. If it is noxious you can always depress the clutch at the stop and it will go away, and if you lift softly in neutral it will often stay balanced enough to be quieter. Of course once engaged it is quiet.

I think JWT did a fine job picking the 14lb weight. The ATS is about 10 lbs and that is certainly as light as I want to go. The Tilton is 8lbs, and that is very nutty to drive on the street. I have not tried the Tilton with their so called "street clutch" so maybe that solves the challenge with the first set up they released a couple of years ago.

+1 ACT, they['re very capable clutch systems. ask for Adam at Z1 auto. one of my coworkers bought a few things from them...just for us hawaii people, we have to call. but that's no biggie.

im getting the ACT heavy duty clutch installed tuesday. then after that in the next week or so im puttin on the turbonetics kit. JoTech is doin the installs i went down there yesterday and talked with them for about an hour, they said for my goes right now (390-410rhwp) the ACT is plenty for me. and he didnt recommenc the JWT becuase it didnt have a damper on the flywheel or soemthing like that, so taht makes shifting with the JWT a little more unsmooth. im pumped
