Anyone here uninstalled...

Their turbo kit? Im thinking of uninstalling mine to go back to stock and possibly trading the car in due to a second child on the way. Anyone got any horror/success stories on this matter?

Thats insanity.

Just get a second car (Suburu imprezza or something like it) for "family outings."

That is what I will do when my fiance and I have a young one in a couple of years.

We will trade her Altima in for a mom mobile.

Daddy keeps the G.

HyperLiteSMU recently uninstalled his Greddy TT kit ... as far as I know he's running fine stock (still has exhaust). You might want to ping him to find out more...

a proper TT install w/ all the necessary goodies is 20pluK....you can get a really nice mom mobile for that.

I am getting my fiance a Suburu WRX wagon (turbo....I might drive it on occassion) for when she pops out my rug rat.

You shouldn't even need the second car. I drove from Florida to California with my wife and 2 kids in my coupe. Plenty of room for the little ones back there.

If you do uninstall, let me know. I am local and would purchase your turbo.

I like the turbo and all but I have so many other things going on with family and work and tons of expenses to deal with. I want to make sure I am doing the right thing financially and safety wise for my wife and kids. The last thing I can afford is blowing my motor..... That would suck bad. I guess what I am really after is some peace of mind that I dont have running F/I on this car. Its not that it has given me any trouble, as a matter of fact I already have 11,000 trouble free miles on it.

It depends on what kit you have. It can be done no matter what but some will be harder.

Yeah, sometimes you have to make some sacrafices. Take the turbo off and use it as your DD and then when things calm down get a little fun weekend car and FI that. Maybe something a little lighter than our porkers.
