5AT question

I'm sure its been discussed but i searched and didn't see a real answer so I'm going to go ahead and make a post. I was wanting to know if anyone has built a 5AT G to 500-550+whp? I'm a couple months away from being able to start doing engine mods and I'd like to go with a greddy kit and get roughly 550whp but I need to know if the tranny can handle it, or if there has been an aftermarket auto tranny to hit the market yet?

A couple people have done it. Tinman's car probably being the most noteable. There should be a high torque performance solution available for 5ATs hopefully within the next month or two. We'll see how it goes.

Drop a PM to brnjug. I think he has had a lot of experience with AT's and just did the latest Level Ten total rebuild on his 5AT for a high HP application.
