which guages are necessary?
I have this one. http://intensepower.com/infuatrpodg3.html It doesn't atleast from the angle shown look exactly the same but could be.
1. A/F = this will tell you air/ fuel mixture like its name. at the same time it will tell you how hot your engine is running....
leaner = hotter
richer = cooler
also monitor fuel supply in general,
lean = less fuel or too much air
rich= too much fuel or less air
Basically tells you is it safe to run the car..
Too lean= will cause extreme temp in the engine proucing NOX and detonation
May cause internal engine damage
Too rich= will cause high emission but you will probably make it to repair shop safely... safe mode of the most car manufacture goes rich..
Oil= oil pressure.. important..making sure that you have sufficient oil pressure to operate your car.
Oil pressure warning indicator in your instrument cluster will tell you almost right before your pressure drop down to nothin.. with pressure gauge, you can at least see it when or if it goes down.
Boost= will detect if you have any leak in the system.

I ahve the same one. Fitting is 9/10
In my dsm days wideband A/f, egt, oil pressure, and fuel pressure was key. Wideband A/F because once again it tells if your running rich or not, but mainly because in hawaii we didn't have an awd dyno so that helped with tuning. EGT because like cturnbull stated at a certain temp parts will start to melt, so you would want to back off before it hits that temp. Oil pressure gauge; got it because mainly upon startup of freshly built motor I seized a cam because there wasn't enough pressure for the oil to get to the head. Also, if you notice that your oil pressure is remarkable lower then normal days then something is wrong or not working properly in the motor. Fuel pressure guage to dial in my afpr. Hope this helps. Oh yeah as well as the obvious boost/vacuum gauge.
