Thumbs up Anyone with a SC and no boost gauge?

I noticed a couple weeks ago my Stillen stage 4 was only making between 6.5-6.8lbs of boost. I thought I may have an exhaust leak from when I put my stock cats back on. So tonight I decided to look into it. It turns out the second 6-rib belt was loose (the one that comes with the Stillen and not the oem one). I tightened it a little and was right back to 8.5lbs!!!

As I was out driving I noticed that the difference between 6.8 and 8.5lbs is not that different (IMO). I don't know if I would be able to tell if I didn't have a boost gauge. So anyone with a Stillen/Vortech/HKS/ATI you without a boost gauge, you need to get one!!

I've got gauges, but they're sitting in the garage. Just haven't had a chance to get them in!

I have the stg IV!! At the same time when I upgraded, I put in a boost gauge. I don't think you absolutely need it, but I think it would be wise to have one. Since most SC are proned to loose belts, the only way to tell whether the belts where loose was to have a boost gauge. To be honest with you, it wasn't that difficult to install, the hardest part about it was finding a location for one gauge.

Your're right, the location is a pain. I put the Zeitronix up in my sunglass holder. It was easy and clean.

I have Zeitronix. I don't have the Nav so I put in in that space. I can close it and you'll never know it was there.

I ran my car with no gauges for 2 years and 17,000 miles with a Vortech SC...the new owner has kept it that way and has put an additional 5,000 miles on it.

I decided to skip the boost gauge.
I'l use my G-Timer instead. It'll notice subtle performance difference.

I got my Zeitronix in my sunglass holder as well and love it up there so I dont have the A-pillar guages sticking out for the whole world to see... Kinda surprizes the subies and evo's when I pull on them
