Dealer said they'll warranty my S/C install, too good to be true?
Went to my local dealer & talked to the machanics, John @ Bill Dodge infiniti,
Not only he said he could instal my S/C, he belive I'll still be under warranty
for my Engine & transmission as long as I get it installed there.
John usually does boring jobs as samo same fixing of stock cars,
so he seems excited to install the SC for me. Sounds too goo to be true?
He is not the service manager, So his word is not final.
Should I confirm it with the service manager? I am afraid he will say no.
Or should I just have John do it & avoid talking about the warranty subject,
but expect him to back me up if somthing goes worng?

Your warranty is with Nissan and the dealer cannot modify, change, or extend/reduce coverage.
They can however issue you a written document agreeing to warranty things Nissan does not agree to warranty.
Or they can hope to fool Nissan if anything happens.

if it's through stillen they do offer a 3/36k warranty. as long as you have some sort of documentation then it should be fine but i'm sure there will be disclaimers if you turn up the boost or adjust something that the dealer did not do. go for it.

I like to think that no one cares about me as much as I do. Meaning, the service mechanic is not going to jump through hoops to make sure you are warrantied. Make sure you don't get scammed.
usually they make u sign a paper saying they are not responsible for damages to the engine bc this is off road use only. The only warranty u have is labor (loose belt etc) and that is only with that dealership.
No matter who you talk to, get it in writing!!!
I had my CAI and my exhaust installed at the dealer!! I will be 100% honest with you... nobody mentioned anything about warranty issues! (I probably should have asked them). But, mine were simple mods.... you, on the other hand, are going with a S/C installation!
Good luck man!!!!!

Members seem confused.
The Nissan warranty is between you and Nissan the dealer is just a repair facility that Nissan has a agreement with to do the repair work.
If they find something they can get reimbursement from Nissan to do, they do it, otherwise you pay............Nissans greatest problem is dealers doing things - doing too much and trying to fool Nissan into paying for under warranty.
Think of the service department as an independent business from new or used car lot [sales] same with the parts department [inventory] separate ops under a common roof.
"MAINTENANCE AND RECORDS
As a condition of this warranty, you are responsible for properly using, maintaining and caring for your vehicle as outlined in the owner’s manual, and maintaining copies of all maintenance records and receipts for review by Nissan. Failure to do so is likely to result in the denial of warranty coverage. Evidence of the performance of the required maintenance should be kept and presented as proof of such maintenance in connection with related warranty repairs. To assist you in maintaining appropriate record, the Maintenance Log Booklet, located in the information folder, can be used along with supporting repair invoices, receipts and other such records. Your Nissan dealer’s records are adequate proof of maintenance, but copies should always be retained."..........................
"This warranty does not cover damage, failures or corrosion resulting from:
misuse (proper use I outlined in the owner’s manual).
Alteration, tampering or improper repair.
Installation of non-Nissan approved accessories or components.
Improper installation of any Nissan-approved or aftermarket accessory or component
