GReddy TT Available This Month
Re: GReddy TT Available This Month
Supply and demand my friend. It sucks big time. Just be happy that we share the same engine with our 2 door brothers so we can enjoy sloppy seconds. Most of their aftermarket engine and exhaust mods will fit our car. The simple truth is that the vendors are putting out mods to the groups that they think will buy them. Vendors are in it to make money for themselves. To them, sedans are a loss. I don't blame them. For sedans to get recognition, Infiniti has to advertise more to get the public to buy more. The problem with that is that we will no longer have a unique car as everyone will be driving one. Infiniti will have to increase quantity an sacrifice quality. We will then go the way of the BMW. I found that an easy way to find out if a model is popular is to look for the model.....in a hobby shop. Stroll through the isles of your favorite hobby shop or toy store to the car model section. Look to see if there are any of our sedans on the shelf and you will find none. Look for 350Zs, Skylines (real ones), or even the Max and you will find them. Because they are in demand by the enthusiests that the mod vendors are targeting. Well, that is enough of my rambling. Hopefully the vendors will target the sedans but I am not holding my breath.
Re: GReddy TT Available This Month
My sedan will be used as the "test" vehicle for the GReddy TT kit. I will advise on how things go during and after the install.
For those of you that are too impatient to wait, I have had the car since May of 2002. I have been involved with GReddy shortly there after (my sedan was used for the EVO cat back system). I have had many chances with other companies to either do a supercharger, or other turbo variations, I have no faith in any firm other than GReddy. They have been top notch, and held their quality in development, and final product for many years. The ability to have a carb / smog legal kit is a truly worthwile reason to wait for the best(I have been waiting well over a year now).
My best to you,

Re: GReddy TT Available This Month
I find it hard to believe that someone can ONLY put their faith in GReddy...There are several excellent companies out there...Forced Induction has been mastered by many firms, such as HKS, Top Secret, Power Enterprise (somewhat new but a great company), and even Turbonetics (if you want to go the custom or track-only route)...Sure, only a limited amount of companies are manufacturing forced induction for the VQ35DE, but it's only logical to believe that's going to change...Trust is a great company, and GReddy has been around a long time, and yeah, they have quality components...I just find it interesting that anyone would stick with just one company- I've always believed in comparing component to component, and sometimes your "favorite" comes in second to a different manufacturer...But as long as you aren't lauding Stillen I'm happy (what a surprise!)

It'll fit, with money and knowledge...I wouldn't hold my breath for the Sedan since GReddy took this long for the Z...PE's info is on www.i-m-racing.com and www.sgpracing.com...Forget this GReddy kit- PE is the way to go...GReddy's is only $300 less MSRP and isn't half the quality...Disappointing

Well said. Greddy's componenets are inferior to PE's components (just ask anyone who knows the JDM arena). The turbos used here are very heavy and spool up slower than PE's. Thus, you are gonna have a noticeable lag. The PE has very little lag (i know this from the PE 350Z test car).
Also, it uses external wastegates which are gonna be VERY loud (from what I am told - and from the clips of another external wastegate-equipped custom turbo) -- VERY VERY loud. Personally, I would not want that on my luxury car.
GGGGGGG, culmilation, G35Spot and the other Seda brothers..... The PE kit will not have to modified after the end of December and WILL FIT THE SEDAN. Can you guess how I know...? The sedan is GONNA GET SOME LOVE - believe you me!!!!!

Not to offend anyone, but external waste gates are no different from internal gates regarding loudness AS LONG AS THE WASTE GATE DUMPS ARE ROUTED BACK INTO THE DOWN PIPE. If they are vented into atmosphere, sure they will be loud as hell when open, but most systems are not vented to atmosphere, it's just too loud.
The RX has left the building, I have been driving the G for about 6 weeks!!!!

Well forgive me if I am wrong - but that's what I meant about external wastegates - tat they are dumped into the atmosphere (that's what that custom turbo 350Z was).
