GReddy TT Available This Month

Finally, the GReddy TT is available...November 22nd is the official release date...Price with the intercooler (duh) is $8190, or $6895 now through IM Racing...

Includes: 2 TD05-18G turbochargers, 2 Type S External Wastegates, 2 SUS Header Type Manifolds, 3-Row Front-Mount Intercooler (Type 23), 2 Air'inx Air Filters, and GReddy e-Manage engine management...LAME compared to the PE components, and for this retail price compared to PE's MSRP GReddy seems to have missed the mark...Unfortunate...

Re: GReddy TT Available This Month

It'll fit, with money and knowledge...I wouldn't hold my breath for the Sedan since GReddy took this long for the Z...PE's info is on www.i-m-racing.com and www.sgpracing.com...Forget this GReddy kit- PE is the way to go...GReddy's is only $300 less MSRP and isn't half the quality...Disappointing

Re: GReddy TT Available This Month

the only thing that i like more about the greddy kit is that it will be made for the G while the PE kit will have to be modified. I am not sure what to do i have the money to get one of the kits and i have been planing on getting one for some time but i just dont know which one to get. I may just wait some more time untill top secret releases there cuz i know that will be the best.

TS won't necessarily be the best...They'll be the most expensive...PE has nailed the TT kit with the included components...The PE 1420 turbo is one of the best high response components out there- one of the few that delivers low-end torque and incredible power over the entire power band...The kit can be tuned to 650HP if you know what you're doing...

Re: GReddy TT Available This Month

The picture is of a G35 coupe but where does it say it's available for sale? A prototype might be done but all the sites have the 350z kit listed as being released the end of November. I didn't see anything about the G35 kit being released the same date. Maybe I'm overlooking it? Can somebody show me where it says that?

Re: GReddy TT Available This Month

The reason for Greddy/Thrust being soo much is being of huge name reputation and it's CARB legal.

This plays the same game for Hondas. Why buy a weak Greddy kit when you can get the Drag Kit for a lower price plus it has more power. It's all about CARB and long run reliability, and Greddy has the upper hand on CARB.

Re: GReddy TT Available This Month

Being CARB legal doesn't excuse setting your MSRP at only $300 less than the better kit of a competitor and not even delivering half the components the competition does...CARB legal or not, PE is the better choice...If you want performance at the highest level you have to pay it, all the way across the board...NOS isn't legal and these guys running CARB legal kits are squeezing...Might as well go all the way...

Re: GReddy TT Available This Month

I totally agree with you. I feel it's not right for them charging such a huge higher price difference for a weaker kit. I would too buy the PE kit because the best bang for the buck. I'm just saying why Greddy is charging soo much more for their kit than PE. They pay for it to be CARB legal and the emissions testing to get it there.

It sucks to live in California where CARB really strict. If it's not carb legal you gotta take it off to pass SMOG. Installing a Turbo kit and removing it is not a fun cheap job.

But if you know a friend would owns or works at a Cali SMOG center, then more power to you. Definitely get the PE kit! You won't believe what hoops I had to run through all the time when I had to get my Z smogged. =)

LOL...That must have REALLY sucked when you had to get the Z smogged...I didn't realize you had a Z, or did you bail on it when you got the G? Good thing I'm not in Cali...
