HAHA wow. i cant believe this thread is back from almost 2 years!

but yes, got the problem fixed, but as always there are just things here and there that need fixing annually. Considering all the fixing that i went through in the 2 years since i installed a turbo kit on my car, i guess i can say, you need to pay to have fun

but, who here knows where i can get an oil pump. I know aps uses weldon oil pumps but ive been looking into the exa oil pump. Any pros/cons? I know that they are about the same in terms of price, but i heard the exa is more durable. i can be wrong.

But does anyone know if there is any extra fabrication needed for the exa pump? and where to get one?

I've always wanted to go FI but it just seems so risky. All I hear is about is how it's safe but make sure you install it and tune it just right. I'm not really sure what "just right" is but apparently whenever you have problems or your engine blows, that's how you know it wasn't "just right". :-P

I must admit the 36k mi warranty on the Vortech is intriguing though!

I recommend HKS over the Vortech. Are you worried about CARB also?

jiberrish, and not funny. We all know Sam knows his shiet, he sure does know more than your damn tuner i tell you that, especially on FI VQs. But hey this is not the thread for that, pm if you got a problem.

To the O.P, yeah once you go FI your car is never going to be normal again, thats just how it is. ^^Zazaracing's tuner right there nearly blew my shiet, and Sam revived it, and fact is fact and its documented, dont give me that "no he didn't crap" But yea good luck to you, Sam will take care of it, for fix jobs he's pretty quick and will get you back on the road shortly.

On Saturday, i was in my driveway to start my car, and after starting realized that the slip light, ses light, and the set light are all on. So i say to myself no biggie, must be something minor because i just got my car tuned with my hks boost controller, nothing horrible can happen. So here i am in my car and i notice that after i let the car run a bit, the idle is at litterally 100rpms and occasionally bouncing itself to 500rpms so that it wont stall. So i decide to go around my block to check if things are okay with my car. But what do you know, there is no throttle response, and the rpms wont go past 1.2k rpms. So i try starting the car again, this time only the slip light, and the ses light shows, but now i get throttle response. So i go around my block see that things are ok and let it idle in my driveway. 5 seconds later, my car turns off. By now im going crazy, so i start my car and barely find my way to the infiniti dealership. They give me a loaner for two days, i come back and my car wont start. After 40 minutes they finally come out with my car running and they tell me that the car somehow allowed itself to start, but tells me that there were the codes p0605, p2138, and p1564, which have something to do with the ecu. They tell me they cant fix the problem cuz i have a turbo and whatnot and they tell me that basically im on my own. I make it safely home and prepare myself to take it to GTM the next day.

So the next day(today), i am driving and decide to go to a Mexican Restaurant before i make my 2 hour drive to Rancho Cucamonga when my car just stalls while im going 35 on a local street. I thankfully get it to a complete stop, start it up once more and barely make my way to the mexican restaurant where my G finally died. The car would not start out of literally 100 tries.

Currently as i speak my car is being towed to GTM. I am thinking that there was something after the installation of my HKS.

Lesson learned? = You take the toll when you put more mods on your car.
your crank senser is bad.. get a new one 80 bucks from the dealer.
