I drove the C6 recently at a dealer, what a beast! And on the sticker it says that you can get 27mpg on highway. I believe it because I was on 6th gear at around 60mph and the rpms were barely over 1k!

Nice vette.

Hey,
A buddy of mine has the same exact setup. What's the orange suspension part in the 4th pic?

The orange "suspension part" is the pfadt swaybar. . .I talked him into the pfadt coilovers too. . .or maybe it was this article on digitalcorvettes.com. They are insalely adjustable (these swaybars).

I did see the APS tt for the C5/C6's. . . pretty sick! The ole man did the install himself though and SC kits are much simpler. According to him it "gave me enough streetable power." LOL I couldn't believe that he still gets like 28mpg on the highway. . .70mph cruise at <1500 rpms in 6th. Insane!

BTW, I made the "dash pod" out of some junk fiberglass from home depot. I didn't get a chance to bondo it and smooth it. . .and I let my dad put the vinyl on. I shoulda done it. I'll make him a better one one of these days. . .I just need to live closer than 3000 miles!

I got a chance to ride in it over Thanksgiving (when I made the pod) and I can't believe that thing. With the stock wheels/tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 runflats) 285 rears, he spun through 3rd, at which point we got on the highway. The new tires are Michellin PS/2s and are 305 or 315s in the rear. He said it has helped a ton, and now wants to hit the strip to see what he can do. . .I'm guessing it'll have a little more than the 68 roadrunner auto he used to have when he was my age.

Thanks for all the comments, y'all!

I'll post dyno numbers whenever he gets around to dynoing it.

Thanks. I talked to my buddy about the pfadt sways. He called them and ended up buying the sways along with a complete coilover kit He also has a procharger, lambo doors, new wheels, roll cage, racing harnesses, full open exhaust, etc. He SCCA races on the weekends. Thanks for the recommendation.

I like the new vettes and the Z06 is a crazy beast!

My dad has had all previous vettes and they were nice, but they really did a good job with this C6.
The regular C6 is a little weak on power compared to my cobra, but I would take it anyways. I love that copper color and the S/C'er is the only way to go! Bet that'll be a good match for the Z version.

When I first read this thread I was laughing saying to myself this kid probally got a STI and he had better not have anything less than a vette to say that. I was pleseantly suprised, lol. I am SERIOUSLY considering a C6 for my next ride and now that the APS kit is out I'm thinking about it even more. I like how your dad put on the Z06 Brakes on his car, good move! Where did he manage to get them from? I can't wait until the Blue Devil comes out next year, it'll be a monster Supposedly 650hp and 2900lbs wow. I'm traditionally a Viper guy (my dad has an S/Ced coupe) but I have become a fan of the C6.

The roof shouldn't. The tinted glass won't peel.
