Angry Doing my own oil change from now on.

Well yesterday I went to have my oil changed and it turned into a fiasco, first thing the guy told me to that my car was a skyline and that I should take off the Infiniti badeging around the car and get the 350 Skyline badges , now this coming from a guy changing my oil is the last thing I expected.
Then he takes off my oil cap and goes "ohh no you have a blown headgasket and probably have blown the engine" I was like what!!, he shows me the cap and inside it has a very ligh milkyness to it but it was such a small amount, so I tell him that if I had a blown headgasket then I would have been blowing white smoke all the way to the shop and the temp gauge would have been hitting the redrolleyes: He said whatever and started mumbling something about working on trouble cars.
Third he tried to take off the drain plug screw and came back and said it would not come out and that whoever did the last oil change messed it up, the screw was just going around and around. I told him to button everything back up and I would go back to the shop which did the last oil change.

Get to the other shop and tell them that there were issues with the drain plug and that they did the last oil change on my car, they were like prove it so I pulled out the reciept and then they agreed to look into it, this is when I realised that I had an APS oil pan which was cool but made it more necc. to be fixed.
They could not get the drain plug out so removed the whole oil pan to find that the ring inside which the plug attaches to was broke thus it was spinning, he took it to his shop and came back with it fixed but by this time it was 5:30pm and I had to leave for a Holiday party(after Christmas party for my company)I had been on this oil change escapade since 1:45pm...what a joke. Finally it is fixed but I have decided to change my own oil from now on.

Oh one last thing, once the pan was dropped, we looked at the oil and there was not one sign of milkyness, I am guessing that the portion in the cap was condensation of some kind as my car sits outside in the cold everyday.

That's correct, just drive it at least once a week for an hour to "burn" out all the moisture and crud.

Thanks, that was pretty much the most important thing I needed to know as it worried me a little a first, the rest was just bad mechanics who can't change oil

Nope just some people who over tighten the drain plug and snap the ring inside of the pan.

the aps pan is made out of aluminum...you can very easily break the threads if you overtighten
