lol Triple8sol, ah its good to see a familiar face here haha, dam, everyone makes this sound thing sound like I'm going to rev at every red light and show off. Thats not the case, but I know what my highlights were when I was boosted and when you pull up to a 335i or some ish and dude thinks you are an easy target, I would like to make him reevaluate his thinking.

Also, I dont plan to get bigger injectors or anything of that sort, I want the SIMPLEST boost setup possible, trying to put very little strain on my engine with boost, just want the BOV to be as loud as possible. I dont want to make any upgrades unless needed, not cause of money but generally bigger injectors, larger fuel pump = more gas used and I'm trying to avoid that.

the 07 335 coupe is 42k, sedan 39k.

not very far off the g35. you're talking about dropping 8 grand in a turbo setup...plus install....why not just get the 335, you are spending the money either way.

335i coupe starts at like 42k and the way I want it, it was priced close to 50k.

G35 I want will be around and most likely less than 25k. Turbo kit is 8 grand? I didnt know, I thought it was more around 5-6 + install. Once again, I'm not chasing numbers, just the personal feeling and look and sound of boost. I'm looking at probably 7k tops with install if I can find the kit around 5-6k. Thats about 32k, maybe 34k at most and this is not somethnig I planned to do right away. Was going to slowly build into it. Looking at about 18k difference. I'm going to research both cars and see what presents best value to me when the time comes but 20k difference is a lot and not only will i have all the features I'm looking for but I'll also be faster than a stock 335i coupe. Speed is not a major issue but atleast I can choose the right BOV I like without voiding any warranties.

that still doesn't make sense. you can't afford the 335 you want so you opt not to have one at all and just choose a different car, that isn't even your first choice. are you a woman? that sounds like woman thing. i would think if a person wants a car, they would choose that car base model over a completely different car if they couldn't afford getting it loaded.

and for turbo setups, a greddy TT is around high 6's, and you are looking about a grand or more to have a shop install.

There's nothing wrong w/ that. I would love a 335i or 911, but either one is way more expensive than the G. Price wise, they're just in way different leagues.

My preference for a 335i coupe is not because of the name or interior quality. Its because it already comes with boost and has great gas mileage for the power. I just need a nice looking coupe with boost. I always wanted a G35 before 335i came out but people told me interior was wack for an infiniti and i started to drift away from it. I still havent sat in a G35 yet lol, but that seems to be the best recommendation for me. Need something big (6'2" 230 lbs) and want boost.

I never thought about a TT kit. dont really neeed TT, just need boost with least amount of abuse on engine and best gas mileage. Are you recommending TT for this or because the 335i coupe comes with TT?

what do you mean you can't afford a 335i? Are they hugely marked up or something?

G35's sell for around $34k MSRP
FI is going to cost you $6-10k

a 335i costs $40k MSRP

Somewhat off-topic:

The Corvette C6 Z06 puts down 505 HP, yet manages to get 16/26 MPG.

Unbelieveable!

ha
its that great 6th gear ratio.

Also, we are not talking about a brand new G35 sentry65. I am comparing a brand new 335i coupe to an 03-05 G35 coupe. I've researched this car heavily and I see it going for 18k-30k tops and thats fully loaded with all features I need with 20-50k miles. If we were talking brand new, ofcourse I would pick the 335i because boosting a G35 will void my warranty.

Secondly, well for the 15th time, I am not looking at a base level 335i coupe, I want extra features that brings it up to roughly 48k. Once again as much as I like BMW's I love G35's as well. I've been in the Nissan/Infiniti community for over 5 years, I'm very content with the VQ engine having 3 cars with the 3.0 liter version and boosting it as well. My only requirements are a SPACIOUS COUPE with BOOST, GREAT GAS MILEAGE and preferably NAVIGATION built in. I'm not yelling or anything just want to stress what i'm looking for so there are no further miscommunications. Thanks for all help. I'm not getting anything new until ATLEAST end of spring time and a lot can happen between then. I may find a used 335i coupe with everything I need for better pricing so my options are still open. But the focus of this thread is to find a forced induction kit that costs around 5-7k tops, doesnt need changes to the car's parts when used at base level power (the stock boost of the kit), and offers descent gas mileage.
