?NOS?

Sup G's!

I have a few questions about NOS. (labor etc.)

1. How much is it to install NOS?
2. How many shots can this car handle?
3. The skyline in the movie 2fast 2furious, shoots out the white spray, (might be fake) but that is NOS right?
4. Does it come with the installation? (white spray)

Thanks,

Chris

Re: ?NOS?

i think around 80 shots is good for this car. it is fairly easy to install from what i understand and the white spray u talk about when u purge the lines. u would have to have them set that up so it would do that. you want to purge the lines of air so then there is less delay bewteen ur boost or somthing along those lines

Re: ?NOS?

nitrous oxide.......

Q1
there are several different methods in injecting nitrous oxide. there is the direct port plumbing, single nozzle fogger, plate, and dry. so... which one do you want? dry kit is the easiet to install, on the other hand, direct port is the most difficult.

Q2
usually, cars can handle 50 shots with no modification. however since this is a g35 board, our cars can handle 100shots of direct port plumbing with very few modifications, such as: retard ignition, 2 step cold spark plugs etc..

Q3
yes.... that is nitrous...

Q4
no... you have to pay extra for the purge valve kit and for its installation.

btw... NOS is a company, not nitrous oxide itself.

Re: ?NOS?

THANKS for the GREAT help guys.

1. Last question, my bro wants actually or likes the look of the purge. Is it a good reason just to buy NOS for the looks of it?

No right? Is there any fake product out there? LOL

Thanks,
Chris

Re: ?NOS?

in my honest opinion... i think that is stupid.. (sorry)

why not get a fake intercooler and a blow off valve while you are at it? it is much cheaper than getting a bottle and a purge valve kit.

Re: ?NOS?

Okay,

I think we are going for dry NOS setup. I'm NEWB with NOS I don't know much about it. How much is the price range for a complete installation plus the purge valve?

Re: ?NOS?

There is a huge thread on www.my350z.com....check it out. I'm using a 125hp shot from a ZEX wet kit......very easy and reliable so far. I believe Edretti and a few others use that setup. Do extensive research! I spent 3 months researching and decided on the Zex wet kit with Denso iridium plugs, etc.
Yes, I have the purge kit also...sometimes it's all you need to keep the high school wanna-be racers from trying to race ya...lol.

Re: ?NOS?

HOLY SMOKE!!!!!

That's what I want!!! Could you just list what I need to buy, and how much you spended for a complete setup, that would be so nice from you. I'm too lazy to register for my350z.com

Basically the 125hp shot from zex and, howabout the purge valves? And are the sparkplugs hard to change? Can I do it myself?

Thanks a lot,

Chris

Do some research as they said. If you are as new to N2O as you say and it seems from your comments that you are, you will end up blowing your engine.

For you I would recommend the Zex kit with a Fuel pressure cutoff. 2 reasons.
1- You are new to Nitrous.
2- You are new to Nitrous.

Also take it to a dyno and tune it correctly for each hp setting. Don't take anyone's word on jet sizes, make sure you do it right for yours. Every car is a little different.

"Drugs" get addicting and you can "Overdose". Ask the others that have N2O.

Re: ?NOS?

What do you guys mean how many shotx can the motor take?? Do you mean how much HP or exactly what it says how many times can you spray?

If its how many times can you spray isnt that unlimited? If the setup is done right as far as the install, new 1 step colder plugs and keep the shot below 150 HP shot the use of Nitrous should be unlimited. As long as you dont put strain on the motor by using to high a shot, bad air/fuel ratio, advanced timing ect.. Please correct me if im wrong...

Re: ?NOS?

"Shot" is refering to the HP rating. But remember that each manufacturer rates their systems differently. NOS seems to rate theirs at the crank and are very conservative, they tend to run on the rich side with their jetting.

You can activate unlimited times until you break something, run out of N2O or sell the car.

Re: ?NOS?

putting a n2o system on a g35? haha ur car but IMO if u wanted a fast car, you wouldnt get a g35 but rather a STI or EVO or some sort of race tuned car, not a luxury coupe... at least a 350z... but thats IMO. if you want a n2o system, do some real good research cuz my friend's engine blew up ^^" haha i told him not to do it!
