Is this thread a joke? If you got money that's not tied up, why don't you use it to pay for your mods? Instead, you want to take an interest loan to pay for the mods? Unless your money in the bank earns you more interest than the interest from this loan, it makes no sense in doing this. If you want to build up a credit history without taking a hit on interest, why not get a 0% APR credit card as mentioned above and buy the mods? You basically have money to afford this mod and you'll only have to pay the monthly minimal for the term of the 0% APR. Once this term is up, pay in full the remaining balance. This way, you get to basically borrow money for free, get a credit history and buy the mod. I really hope this is what you ultimately do otherwise you should be banned from spending period.

Btw, I can give you a personal loan for 25% APR with your G35 as collateral. Deal?

quit lecturing him...he's not asking if he should finance or not and he's not asking how to sensibly improve his credit rating. The guys asked where he could finance something.

My advice: call your credit card companies and see if they'll raise your limit. Check w/ the forum vendors...some might have ways of financing your project.

If you have equity in your car you can go to a credit union and refinance the car and pull out 5 or 6k. 6k will cost you about 100 bucks a month. If your mid credit score is a 640 or better, you can usually get a decent rate and improve your credit history by refinancing because your paying off your original debt.

I'm not lecturing him about credit rating; it's like watching a train wreck in terms of financial sense. I'm sorry, but I just can't turn away......see my 3 above quotes....the absurdness it's just too funny reading, especially when he talks about how he needs to be F/I'd right now since he doesn't have anything else (I wonder why?)
