Vortech SC or JWT TT????

However, if you are a risk taker, then go JWT for suuuuure

But yeah, I hear what you are saying and that is a big deal to me too.

seeing how everything is getting stricter regarding emmisions, I do not see how an aftermarket turbo for the G will become legal.

Other thing he told me was that an older white guy had just dropped about $15-20K in engine parts for a TT set up and was driving around and got popped by the cops. The cop knew what he was doing and sent him to the referee. Now he has to spend $3K to get this car back to stock. With a carb sticker, you can have fun, and po po can't take it away.

Wow! I knew Cali was strict but damn, making u change back to stock. I think I’ll stay on the east.

Move to Florida! you can run twin turbos with open downpipes exiting out the side of your car if that's what floats your boat?! hahah I'm so glad we don't have emissions testing.
IMO...cali sux and ill also stick to the east coast....umm honestly turbo is the way to go cause its more efficient than a super charger i mean you don't see any of the cars from japan really using super chargers so that should really tell you something...and yea it is a little more maintenance and awareness about your vehicle but we are all fanatics about our cars anyway so why wouldn't you check the finer things that could go wrong...the jwt kit is probably the cleanest and best kits out there they have been doing nissans way before our cars even came out...those guys over there know what they are doing...as far as preparing for FI i have read alot of stuff talked to alot of people and honestly all you need is rods, pistons, head gasket, head studs and main studs and you are good for up to about 800hp...no im not saying your going to run 800hp ever day but thats why we have boost controllers and different maps for us to run our vehicles...i have even heard on stock block if tuned properly you can get 450 - 500 reliable...and dont say it hasnt been done just talk to some of the vq tuning shops out there they have cars with 60k 70k with FI that are still strong and have that kind of power....you can talk all day and all night about this cause its just an on going debate but hey if nissan itself is going twin turbo on there future line of products doesnt that tell you something...THE DAYS OF SUPERCHARGERS ARE DEAD!!!! LONG LIVE THE TURBO........just my 2 cents lol....
I chose Jwt twins for the obvious reasons of upgrading ability later on. You can always tune a twin turbo sysem and make more power. But if I go FI i'm either going Vortech or Procharger just because of the reliability issues and if i decide to return back to stock it will be easier down the road.

Bro....I know that you have had your car in the shop for ages. Remember that feeling of wanting to drive but couldn't? I think that if you go TT...that feeling might be all too real again. Vortech FTW IMO.

I am going to GTM this weekend to talk to the fellas there. Hopefully they can give my some more insight to help me make my decision. I wanna get this gone pretty soon.
Ha! I've been debating this SAME thing since late 2003! For me, however, I'm starting to lean towards the vortech more and more. I plan on installing it myself in my garage, so that factor weighs in heavily now. Thank God I'm not in CA anymore! Best of luck to ya. . .take your time!

Why don't you just stay NA and get a nice set of JWT cams installed for half the cost of a turbo or supercharger kit alone. I am sure install is very expensive for those FI kits . Less horsepower, 20-30 rwhp, and torque, but enough for the street and more reliable. You may find this is enough for you and if not, you can always go back and add FI later for more power. Anyone have these cams in their car? Now I'm interested to see what they are like.
after reading through most of the posts I have two questions that have come to mind
1) As you said your looking at the JWT, why not the greddy? theyve been around longer and are arguably better turbos
im just wondering
also,
2) carb legal? Im sorry but I dont understand what that means
