07 Coupe 6MT,
Baseline: ARK Grip exhaust, Berk aluminum "z-tube" ---> 273 whp and 250 wtq
Vortech V3, 928 Impeller, 2.86 pully, 600cc DW injectors, CJM Stage 0 fuel return, Walbro 255, Uprev ECU flash/tune, 1-Step Colder Iridium plugs, ARK Grip Exhaust ---> 449.2 whp and 362 wtq @ 12psi, Tuned by Hill's Garage in Baltimore. About 800 miles since boosted. Not much experience yet.
Currently on stock cats and no intake mods. What's the next step? HFCs or plenum mod? Or leave it the way it is? Not my daily driver, but would like to keep it as close to street legal as possible (will be moving to California soon).

Your stock cats aren't going to last very long on the 2.87 pully. Simply too much fuel. If I were you I'd avoid cats altogether (most HFC are crap and fail faster than stock) -- stick some test pipes on until you move to CA. After moving put stock cats back on (HFC won't pass) and swap for a smaller pully to lower boost so they stand a chance in the long run

Power Enterprise TT kit, IHI ball bearing water & oil cooled turbos 8psi wastegate springs, APS 3.5 test pipes, HKS BOV, JWT Clutch, TurboXS UTEC, Walbro 255 fuel pump, RC 650cc injectors & clips, Motordyne 5/16 spacer, HKS Hi pwr exhaust, Greddy intercooler, DEFI gauges oil, boost, air/fuel ratio. Tuned at 6 for boost but i have gone over before.
I bought it boosted and the owner was an idiot and didn't know when it was boosted and Im even more of an idiot and bought it. I have done all the maintenance and even found one of the spark plugs was loose. So I'm trying to find out what I should do. I'm happy with the power so nothing crazy. I just want reliability. Can I just upgrade the rods and pistons and tank the engine?

I will be looking for a new block to build. Thinking with my same set up, upgrade the fuel, MAF and shoot for 500whp. No huge HP #s as I dont have the budget for it. It will be about a year or so for the new set up, and when I do, I will post it up.
I am considering building my own motor with a friend to keep the cost down. My buddy (Screen ID here) Rambo is building an LS for his G and he is willing to take on the rebuild with me. Who knows...Still formulating a plan!

posting mostly so I'll remember the details myself in the future. LOL
Got the car around 30,000 miles five years ago, bolt on's and daily driving made it to 100,000 relatively trouble free. PCV system started throwing some oil back through it, but nothing terrible. All seals and gaskets holding strong. Ran good, good compression with no blowby on the rings. Bought a blower at 100,000.
Left it sitting for a year because I was lazy.
Installed ProCharger at 108,000 miles. 9psi, 402whp/325tq, on a safe, conservative Osiris tune.
Currently: 109,000 miles, zero issues......... YET
I'm taking off to ZDayZ in the mountains this weekend. I reserve the right to change the "no issues" statement when I get back. ha

post #33. 110,000 miles. Best guess, cracked ring, or cracked ring landing after it ran lean when a rear o2 blew out.
Oh well, such is the boosted life.
