My NEW FMIC mounted... PE TT MT Sedan
Hey guys
Many of you know the story of my car from way back when
I got the PE TT kit when it first came out. THe turbos on that kit, I still maintain are of extremely high quality, and we have been able to make decent power with hit up to about 13-14psi of boost.
But going any higher than that, it appeared that the intercooler, being on a smaller side for those high boost levels, was beginning to be a bit inefficient..
Enter the new FMIC.
I acquired, with hte help of George (aka George@GTM), a new FMIC, and it's dimensions and characteristics definitely scream "over the top", at least in my opinion. It's an aftermarket FMIM upgrade intended to be a bolt on for the R34.
Myself, George, and our friend Kevin, spent EIGHT hours yesterday installing this FMIC on my car. It started out by just being a "test-fitting" session, and at some point we just threr down the gauntlet and started playing for keeps... and finished the installation.
The reason I say this is, as you know, these kinds of projects involve lots of custom fabrication. Thank God for Kevin on this one. He has got a welder and the welding skills to boot, which let us finish the project in one day.
Dimensions:
PE-spec ARC Intercooler: 22.3" (W) x 10.3" (H) x 2.5" (D)
New bar and plate intercooler: 24" (W) x 11" (H) x 5" (D)
Here are the BEFORE pics (from the original PE install):

PM me... i'll let it go for VERY cheap just to recoup some of the costs of this one, not looking to make money on this deal. It's an ARC-made intercooler.
I really won't refuse any reasonable offer.
Holy william shatner! You have the most amazing project car I've ever seen! LOL What kind of front bumper are you going to go with now?
I finally took the plunge. . .and bought a vortech tuner kit. Ha! You'll have had more HP in one cylinder bank than I will have when I'm done. Take care man! Good to see that the 6MT swap is working out for ya!

I've been wanting to upgrade my Intercooler to a much bigger one but I can't afford it right now.
