Turbo Modification Help?

Sup guys I am a newbie here but I have a question for you all. I will be purchasing a 03 or 04 G35 later this year and I want to build power around 300 to 400 horses. Can I have this type of power and still maintain a daily driver? I don't drive that much daily but just saying in the whole matter? After I get the car i plan on dropping in upwards of around 7k to 10k in the engine with 10k being the limit. I live in Germany and I want to open her up on the autobahn but still be able to drive in the city.

I have been debating just getting header, full exhaust system, and intake and staying away from FI because I dont want it to break on me, but I got bite by the turbo bug before and it is hard to turn back once you been bitten. My question is in your opinion what would be the best kit to go with that can handle this objective of mine. By the way I do not beat on my cars. I just like to feel the power and speed but I am not a street race junkie. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. I dont want back breaking power like 500 hp that will do me no good in a city like berlin LOL I just want decent power for the autobahn and easiness for city showing off. help?

For the people before they say it, Yes I been on vboards before and I did use the search function by the answer to my question has yet to be found.

Get the Vortech SC! It is the safest FI, and it should make around 350hp. Good luck!

Okay I checked out the Vortech SC and I really like what I see 50 state legal and carb legal is always a good thing not to meantion a 44% increase. Very nice. It also supplies a warranty, which is excellent.

Do superchargers normally require internal upgrades? Or the stocks able to handle such power?

Stock internals are fine with moderate boost. Overdo it and the obvious can occur.

You always run the risk of damaging your motor with forced induction - the key is moderation.

You can read a LOT about FI in the forum we have just for FI - you'll likely find all the information you'd need, plus more, there. Not to mention that a large portion of that audience will have already gone where you're wanting to go.

Wrong.....the stillen is the safest kit out there period and the reason why i say this is because it puts out the least power but a lot of torque under the curve. But i would go with the vortech if i was in your situation because you can always upgrade it for much more power then the stillen, and you will still be safe.....just remember to have somebody tune it who now,s what they are doing.

Think first before you post He has a limit and after buying all the supporting mods to make it safe 10K will be gone. Plus never said he want big power potential so ST or SC will be enough.

OP, If you do want to build someday then TT is not a bad idea

Nightrider80-If you get the full kit from Vortech, it will give you everything that you need to make approx. 340whp and keep you at about $7k with installation. This will give you power that you described in your first post and it also gives you the room to upgrade if you decide you wanna get closer to 400whp. Your goals are almost identical to what I wanted when I first decided I was going FI. I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with the Vortech SC even though I spent a bit more because I went with a few more goodies. Good luck.

If you never plan on building your motor the Vortech or Turbonetics is a great buy. If you want to get into the 400+whp range do it right from the start and go with a twin turbo kit.
