Joining the FI world!!!

I am looking at purchasing a used TN kit from a local install and tuning shop. The kit was installed on the owner of the shops 350. The kit is a standard TN kit with upgrades like new 650cc injectors and brand new SN61 turbo instead of the TN 60-1. Being a FI newbie my question is about the turbo itself. Is this turbo comparable to the TN? Any difference in turbo lag or performance? Just wanted the experts opinion on this before I drop the cash on it. By the way he is asking 3K for the kit with the injectors. I have a UTEC already so engine management is taken care of.

I don't know what an SN61 turbo is........but you will need to buy a couple parts from TN to make the kit work on a G35. You will need a g35 spec A/C line from TN. the 350z has a different A/C line. also, you'll need a special inlet elbow on the turbo. otherwise , you need to cut a 4" hole through the front of the car, so that you can locate the air filter where the 350Z kit locates the air filter. It can be doen; I did it when I had my TN kit on my G35.

Also, go visit www.my350z.com; there is alot of good tecvh info on that sight. specifically, go into the forced induction forum.

The SC61 is manufactured by Precision Turbo. Anyone have any info on this particular manufacture? I have searched online and it seems that a lot of 240 and such run these. Quadcam how much are the AC lines and inlet elbow from TN?

I think the A/C line is ~$100.

Like Andrew said, you can just cut the hole and use the 350Z intake. I made two holes like them to do make my new intakes. It would be like the one on the right.
