In my limited knowledge, I think that as long as you kept the car well maintained (oil changes, tune-ups, etc) it's not "too late" to go FI on a car. Keep in mind that there are some people who have run over 40K miles on FI.

Then again, I could be completely wrong.

There really is no to late or to early, mine has been fi,ed for about 25,000 mile on the various stillen stages.I have the greddy twins on know and have 47,000 miles,it all comes down to how you maintain your car.If you go fi def use a top quality oil either dino or preferably synthetic.

It matters on how you drive and maintain your car. 7000 miles is low milage. I FI around 15,000 miles, now I have 17,600. weekend car only

I put my tn kit on at somewhere around 40k or 50k I think, followed by my greddy kit pretty soon after that on a different 60k+ motor (that was rebuilt however) There people othere that have started later with their motors, too many factors to consider. Just make sure you do it right the first time to minimize problems, headaches, regrets....

if you plan on going FI in the future, just hold off for now until you have the funds for a complete build...it'll save you money and downtime, both in short- and long-term

It's never too late. We have done TT's on VQ35's with 65K miles of NA use. As long as the engine is well maintained, and has good compression and leakdown numbers, you should be good to go. The VQ35 is designed to run for 200K miles.

I started around ~43-45k with a Stillen SC and the Greddy kit went on around 60k.
