Car stalled out for first time tonight.

03 G35 coupe 5AT
80k miles
Vortech supercharger installed about 3k miles ago

No problems until tonight. I was leaving the shop and headed to the gas station to fill up on gas. The car had the low fuel light lit for a few miles. As I pull into the gas station driveway the car loses power and immediately dies. I put it into neutral and turn the car back on. It fires back up w/ no problem. So I'm like huh? and just fill it up full. As I'm pulling out of the gas station, while i'm turning onto the small side street the car immediately dies again. Turn the car back on and it fires back up w/ no problem.

So I was creeped out and drove back to GS Motorsports. As I pull into the shop driveway the car dies a third time. We do a bunch of tests, check for vacuum leaks, check for anything out of the ordinary and didn't find anything. We decide to try and raise my idle by adjusting the throttle/gas pedal drive-by wire sensor. The sensor seemed almost loose and you could just wiggle it, and the car would zoom up in revs. We were able to twist/turn it a certain way to where the idle rested at around 750rpm. Before it was around a low 600ish-650ish. I drove the car back home about 25 miles w/o any problems.

Question is...do you guys think this was all a low idle issue? or could it possibly be the loose sensor for the gas pedal? I'm not even sure how "loose" its supposed to be. Ever since the supercharger install, the idle has been low. But the car had never stalled out until tonight. I'm wondering if I need to get a new sensor for the gas pedal.

it seems that it only dies when you are at very low revs so it could be the idle issue where you having idle problems before?

600 rpm is too low. With the supercharger drag, that could be enough to stall you out. My car use to act like it wanted to stall until I went and got the idle bumped up to 750. The engine used to shutter if I were to press in the clutch while coming to a stop. Now it doesn't do it so much. Another way to check is to turn on your AC and see if it stalls. The AC usually results in a 100 rpm increase to idle speed.
