Automatic tranny under boost.

So I just got off the phone with Sam and I am having the tranny internals done at this time, so I will be moving from the stage 2 to stage 3 on this project along with upgraded actuator springs (red ones) and the GTM reflash.
Car is tentatively set to be picked up on 9/29 so I will know what it can do then. Right now my slightly larger APS turbos are going back on the car Monday ....can't wait for the new numbers.

I am aiming for 500 whp on Sharif's DD dyno (or 550 on a dynojet).
The usual stuff: 2.5" FI exhaust w/ 300 cell cats, FP Shortblock, JWT 700bb turbos, JWT S2 cams, valve springs and shims, CJM fuel return, 650 cc, Haltech EMS.
EDIT: well, ok, all pretty std except for the EMS, but that doesn't really add power.

if youre thinking about speed then you've gotta be crazy to go with the G35...
the Supra's inline six engine is LEGENDARY for being able to withstand high HP figures and also for how easy it is to extract 400whp from it.... my buddy had one a while back, stock TT... he bought a full exhaust, headers, boost controllers, and a few other minor boltons and dude was pushin 412whp.... and it was TORQUE heaven... but the Supra is just like the G35, it's heavy when it comes to corners....

Though the VQ aren't strong as the JZ motor, but given building the right way, you can see the numbers up there.
Let's get back on topic. This thread is pretty useful for AT owners. I know Sharif's been running SGP built tranny, especially Ron with the latest bullet proof 5AT.
Either way, it's very promising for us. We have the just as much fun as the 6MT folks, and as much comfort as any other car

What was I thinking? I meant to say Ron. Thanks for the reminding

It was making good power but was getting hot on the dyno just at wastegate pressure (9 psi) so Sharif shut it down. I was trying to use the stock radiator, which I guess was not the brightest idea. Anyway thick Koyo, upgraded fans, shroud are now in and back on the dyno today. Wish me luck. The GTM-5AT is doing fine by all reports.
How did yours turn out? I saw in the other thread you are picking up soon...

Mine is being dynoed probably as we speak but I have not heard anything except that we are still on track for delivery of my vehicle, I will post as soon as I hear anything.

j/k I wanna keep my motor in one piece - lol. 15 psi @ 93 octane is the likely target. The Haltech has a few tricks up its sleeves so that may be enough. Working with cats in place is the biggest challenge.
