Vortech w/3.12 pulley only 6lbs?

Whats up everyone, I got a situation here. To start, I just installed my vortech kit this past Friday and everything has been going smoothly for the most part. For reference, here is my setup:

- Stock block
- Vortech tuner kit with 3.12 pulley
- Utec with tuner reg wideband
- deatschwerks 650cc injectors
- walbro 255lph fuel pump
- megan racing headers
- intense resonated test pipes
- hks hi-power exhaust
- aps tallboy plenum

Whats happening here is that I am only making a little more then 6 lbs at redline. I know that with the 3.12 pulley I should be making at least 8lbs. So far I have done a boost leak test (connected a capped coupler with an air compressor connection to pressurize the motor) that showed no leaks and made sure the belt was tight so there is no slip. What else could it be? Any suggestions will help.

Thanks

Alright guys, I figured it out. I did another boost leak test and I had a leak from the MAF sensor housing. Also, my belt wasn't as tight as it could be. So I fixed the MAF housing with some paper gasket and tightened the belt. I was never so happy to see 8 psi . I am averaging right around 8 psi right now which is where it needs to be since its hot out and since I have a full header back. Now off to the dyno in the morning! I'll post up some numbers when I get back.

Thanks for the help!

Believe me, a slightly loose belt makes a big difference. My belt needs to be tightened just a bit because it squeals a little bit at cold start. But I noticed that my boost is slightly lower than before also. Make sure to keep an eye on that belt and make sure it's always nice and tight.

Thanks! Just got her tuned and she pulls strong! My tuner was not able to put in as much timing as needed up top (damn AZ heat) but the numbers weren't too bad. I put down 340 rwhp & 296 rwtq . We'll see what she can put down this winter with more timing (looking for numbers closer to 360 - 370 rwhp). I appreciate all the input!

was that 340whp on a dyno jet or dynapack dyno? You should in the 360 atleast with that setup, I have almost the same setup but 550 injectors and mine is auto. good job, I know you can it those numbers!

Those numbers where on an xact dyno which I believe gives numbers a little lower then a dynojet. I was expecting more power but we were not able to add in more timing up top due to knock. We'll see what happens this winter.
