What do you have your rev limiter set to? Is it a moot point to raise the rev limiter if the transmission control is going to shift at 6500rpm anyways?

No, it's not moot it, unless your trans shifts in D mode acceptably. The problem way back in the day was that the added juice from an FI'd auto would rev up so quickly that while the auto was trying to shift, it would hit the rev limiter before the shift happened. To cure this, the early FI'd folks would raise the rev limiter (6800-7100) to allow the shift to complete. Or, they'd just stick to driving in "M" mode.

Bottom line, if your auto shifts, I wouldn't worry about it. If it's not, then raise the rev limiter a bit.

Mine is at 7100 because of my TS reflash.

Mine shifts okay, but I might raise it slightly to get some more peak power.

cool. . .just don't over-rev too much, unless your valvetrain is set up for it.
