How Much Power In A 5a/t......

I Have Heard This Twice Now.....i Have An '06 Coupe 5a/t And I Wanna Go Fi....they Ask Which Model I Have Cuz There Was 2 Different 5 A/t's In '06...is This True....i Have Never Heard Of That...i Thought They All Had The Same Amount Of Power........

who asked who which model? there is only one 5AT, non-revup...period.

Thats What I Always Knew....5a/t Is 5a/t....i Think The People That Said It Have No Clue...well Thats Cool... Just Wanted To Make Sure I Wasnt The One Going Crazy............

they might not know that there is no rev-up version of the 5AT...the newer 6MTs are "rev-up"

Your Probably Right.....who Did The Work On Your Car....i Wanna Make A Streetable Monster Without Having To Go Full Internals Right Away...what Do You Suggest ?

Where r u located? It's nice if you're close to one of the major shops cause you can take in/check on/pick up the car more easily.

They could be confused because of the change in horsepower rating too. I think it was 287 hp, then changed to 275 hp. I'm sure someone else knows.

Z's had the funky 287HP rating. . .the G's were a little different:
'02-'03 (whatever model year, the first ones) AT sedans were 260HP/260TQ
'03 - '04 AT/MT Sedans AND Coupes 280HP/270TQ
Revup Manuals (I think started in '05?) 298HP/260TQ

5 AT is rated at 333lb/ft at TC input like all AT, Horesepower is meaningless to transmission engineers.
