Stock compression/FI question

With stock compression, whats better for my car; supercharger or turbo? This would be without touching the motor internally at all. Also, what would you perfer, I narrowed it down to Turbo: JW or APS; Supercharger: vortech or procharger.

For stock engines, if you put a SC then you should be fine for a very long time as the Trq is pretty low and for turbos you need to keep it below 400 if you want it to last.

Personally, I'm running around 400 on a stock motor and tranny, I'm not driving the car because 400 is to much for the tranny on a 5at, I'm goingn to wait to upgrade it before I drive it again.

Depends on how you drive, if you drive a 400hp car all out on the street, your car isn't oging to like you on a stock block. If you open it up once or twice on a drive, then you'll be fine, that's what I do (unless im at the track, which has only been once)

If your looking for big numbers go greddy tt =)

Option 1:
go n/a but getting 300 whp is probably gonna cost me a little less than a sc.

Option 2:
Slowly start modding and then just drop a sc with a direct shot of nitrous in the aftercooler. Not sure if I should go vortech or procharger. BTW how much whp can I get out stock engine without having to build?

Option 3:
TT. Its either JWT or APS. The whole sha-bang is gonna run me about 11k installed, plus the tuning, so close to 12k. Upgrade the head gasket, pistons, rods...$$$$$$$$

My goal would be a nice 500 WHP. But I can live with 400+whp

Edit: This car is gonna be my DD until I get a "beater" in like ..... who knows how long.

5AT cars always have this issue more than MT cars when it comes to the tranny. I was at 400hp on my stock block with a Vortech and it had no issues for 41,000 miles then as soon as I went TT I had tranny issues.

Not sure if your an MT or AT but going TT is going to cost a bunch if you want 500whp. There is the enigne then the heads, tranny, good managment system, fuel (injectors, pump) and of course the TT system..lol

My car is my DD and I am aiming for 500rwhp this next month.

Doesn't matter, pick your poison. They both can do the samething within the limits of the stocker. I think the only downside to going turbo is worrying about melting stuff if you're not careful. On the flip side belt slippage and wear is annoying...

the rev-up has a great top end so if you don't want to build and aren't looking for "crazy" power, go with the Vortech and 3.12 pulley...you'll break the 400whp mark, with tq in the mid 300's

How much whp should I expect outta a sc on a stock block and how much whp on a t/tt on a stock block.

Also, how much do u think I should expect to spend for either or em.
Sorry, this is my 1st time seriously considering going fi but realized its the only way to go if im shooting between the 400-500whp. I want to know what the boosted Gs have to say

Out of my Vortech I was getting 320 trq and out of my APS TT I was getting 400trq.

I bought my SC for 3200 with around 200 miles on it and the APS is like 8000+ as the price just went up.

EDIT forgot the HP numbers, I was getting 420 with the Vortech and 440 with the APS.

It's like night and day ...a flat 320tq vs 400tq at 3,000 rpm I almost pooped a little the first time I went WOT in the TT lol...Ditching the Vortech was the best decision I ever made

OP: I don't mean to be a jackas, but go search around the FI section for more info...this topic has been discussed to death
