Vortech/Procharger guys: Where is your catchcan mounted?

Trying to find a spot for my catch can but its really hard to find w/ the limited space. I might end up doing the DIY catch can w/ the air compressor filter thing bc its smaller. Or get the super $$ ARC one that mounts in front.

I dont even run one . No need to IMPO . I just let the hose dangle and pointed to the ground . Never get any oil out of it anyway . Im about the hose that ran to the air filter on the Vortech .

The hose from the passenger side valve cover to intake plenum doesn't vent oil vapor?

imalazeeass: Is it mounted in any way, or just kinda wedged in there?

I have the hose coming off the plenum [ bottom one of the two big ones ] blocked off . I found one on passenger side vlave cover [ front of it ] that runs over to the front of the driver side valve cover . And then the one that ran to the air filter is dangling . Maybe the shop that did my original SC install did this . But Ive never had any problems or oil coming from it .

it is secured there.

it was installed by GTM and they told me it was secured.. so i tried to find out how they did it but its too cramped and i can't see anything in there.. so i tried to pull it out really hard and it wasnt moving anywhere.. so im pretty sure its not just wedged there..but who knows.. as long as its not going anywhere

Cool

Right here. It works like a champ!

I orginally had a large one mounted on top of my intercooler, but this one works just as well if not better.

Yeah even though I have a blingy chrome catch tank, it's kinda big to fit anywhere. Most likely will do the functional one inline like you have Brando.

If you dont want to shell out the $$$ for the ARC one you can get the weaponR one, mounts in the same spot.

i don't like oily messes or the engine smelling like oil or burning oil. I'd rather keep the engine as smell free as possible so you can smell easier if there really is a problem with leaking oil etc. That and the engine bay can get dirty enough as is and $90 won't break anyone's bank

here's mine on my Z (old pic)
