HELP with Vortech SC!!!

OK. First of all I have no mechanical experience. I have a 2006 G35 6MT. I was Grubbs Infiniti's first Vortech install. It's been running great and I'm at 37K miles now. Grubbs also installed my Borla exaust. I moved to Guam in 2006. Now on to the problem. My "check engine" light came on so I took it to Infiniti. Believe it or not, this is one of the better Infiniti dealerships I've been to. Well, they gave me a loaner G35C and had my car for 23 days. Turns out the honeycomb in the cats collapsed. They ordered new ones but they don't look like the ones they removed. I'm sure the Borla system was after the cats. Well, I picked up my car and was happy to have it back until I hit 4500 RPMs. It bogs out and will not go a lick past 4500. I took it back and asked if they screwed with my ECU. They told me they "flashed" or reset the car's ECU. I called Vortech and they said resetting the ECU won't cause the problem I described, but they referred me to the maker of their piggy-back ECU. Called them and they said they can send me the software for $50 but that should not be causing the problem. There are some VERY good shops here (met a guy today with a single turbo and know two other people here with TT's) but I want to hear from anyone here first. Any assistance is appreciated.

Its a good chance that your Aux. fuel pump isnt coming on . First check the fuse for it . Make sure you serp belt isnt slipping . You could be not making as much boost and are in a different area in the boost maps and bogging down . It actually could be a host of things .

Is this the dealer that installed the kit ? If so...take it to a shop that knows superchargers and turbo's . They can trouble shoot it better than the dealer .

EDIT after thinking about it . If you are bogging down...[ going pig rich ] Your exhaust could still be blocked . The insides of the cats could have fallen out and block the exhaust up down the line . Might want to try to un-bolt the exhaust after the new cats and run it to see if it still bogs down .

Take it to one of the shops you mentioned . They can trouble shoot it and will find the problem much faster than a dealer .

disconnect the exhaust between the header and cats. see if that helps out. Easy way to tell if the cats are messed up.

Not yet. They want me to get the software used to tune the ECM. Do you have the CD?

OK. The secondary fuel pump definitely wasn't coming on. A friend of mine connected a switch to the secondary pump and we flipped it on at 4K RPMs. Worked just like it used to. Now the question is why is the computer not telling the pump to come on. I finally got the software to "see" what's going on and tune the car. More to come...
