I've also had both and both were on a stock block at one time, the main differences I noticed is the amount of trq you gain over the SC kit.

I had a Vortech and as far as I am aware it was CARB legal also.

When it comes to addtional parts, I had most if not the same parts for both FI applications but I was only running at low boost around 9.5psi.
