Question of G TT

I have a auto G coupe and thinking of the final step I would go in the future that is twin turbo. The question is that is that true I have to install the special camshafts and program to accommdate the twin turbo kit? And I have heard from someone that auto transmissiom cannot take 100hp more,if so I will blow my gear box. If I go with sythetic oil,do I have to buy special oil filter for sythectic?I am using K&N right now. Thanks everyone.

Re: Question of G TT

you should learn how to spell first, then research some. The tranny in your G is the same as that in the M45 (333?hp) so you are good for a little more than that. You are looking at an additional 1500-3000 dollars to build a "bulletproof" automatic tranny. There are several places that do this varying in price and quality. Torque converter and valve body upgrades are just the beginning of this "bulletproofing". Internal engine mods will be needed to go past approximately 400-450 crank horsepower. As always, your car, your risk.

Synthetic has been covered to death. Search dude.

Hey 3point5SE_Auto, Drop the attitude, this is a forum to help with G35 issues. This is not a college essay. It is remarks like yours that causes the flaming so often.

Re: Question of G TT

Internal block mods are needed above 400+ wheel HP, not crank HP. I'm running higher than 400 crank HP and so is Dollar99 (among others around here) w/o any problems.

Re: Question of G TT

No, no need for a special oil filter with synthetic. I'd recommend you get a high-quality filter, though. Infiniti OEM, Mobil 1, or Purolator. K&N is fine too. Avoid Fram and other cheapies.
