ProCharger Oil Change (ATI owners please chime in!)
Since I moved away from SGP about a year ago and I was way over due to change the oil in my supercharger, I decided I'd give it a shot... everything went smooth except a few things I noticed...
First off, incase anyone searches this topic in the future... The syringe type thing ATI sends is a joke! I've heard this before, but just wasn't ready for what they sent. Buy some tubing and hot glue it to a large sucking device. *BAM!* ATI approved oil changer. Also, I couldn't get the damn thing to fit normally so I had to cut the end of the rubber hose at a pretty intense angle and with a little motivation it slips down to the bottom just fine.
OK, now on to my questions.... (Warning: shotty iPhone pics past this point!)
The oil was a pretty rechid color. Not a Absinthe color green, but a I-ate-some-bad-taco-bell type brown/green.
iPhone pic #1: This is the oil with a squirt of clean oil in the middle. You can see how different the colors are. Is this normal?

Next I noticed this milky substance. It sorta looks like how parking lots look when it rains. You can see the water and oil not wanting to mix and forming a rainbow of colors. This is what this milkyness looked like. No rainbow though... more of a metallic color. What is it?

Along with this milkness came black spots. I don't know how to describe them. They could be mixed in and swirled, but would form back randomly. You can also see the milkness again in this picture. Likewise, you can see the black spots in the previous picture... just mixed in alittle bit more. Any ideas here?

Alright, still with me? Good. Second to last were these beauties. Little black specs of... dirt? These aren't metal... but they are hard. The closest I can compare them to is like carbon. Or that grease that biulds up around the screw hole to changing the oil. Like I said, the were hard, but not so bad that you couldn't squoosh them and have them go away.

Finally, I wanted to show how much oil I actually pulled out of the thing. This is the level BEFORE I put clean oil back in with it. The dipstick shows full, and I had some new oil left over... so I just put it all back into the same container and it actually filled it up almost to full. So my question here is, I know with the super sophisticated oil changing device that ATI sends you can't get ALL the old oil out... I guess I lost some of the old oil do to spillage or being messy... so I guess it all worked out even, ya know?

That's it for now.
Thanks!
P.S. ATI customer service sucks. I'm sorry I moved since the last time I ordered a part and you had to change my address in the computer. Thanks for huffing and puffing into the phone so you could let me know how unhappy you were

I know the oil system is self contained . How many miles are on that oil and how many months has it been in there ? Looks like the oil broke down and was whipped up by the gears . How often are you suppose to change it ?

About 7000mi are on that oil. They say to change it around 6000mi or every other regular motor oil change.
It's been in there for around 10-11 months. I know the oil breaks down, so that could be what happened...
Its an 04 with 20,000 miles on it... so I hate wasting money on oil changes when its driven 5miles a month...

It may have gotten some moisture in it also . Making it milky looking . My 03 has less than 17,000 and I change my oil twice a year . The thin oil I put in it for the winter never even see's a 1000 miles .
