Who runs copper plugs?
I'm contemplating going with copper plugs (1-step colder) for my Vortech setup, and just changing them every 10k miles. i've read through a lot of threads regarding plugs. From what I've gathered, platinum is not recommended for FI but rather Iridium plugs are better suited. Copper plugs will work, but will need replacing sooner.
While not a the G yet, I've run copper plugs on other cars(mainly hondas) because they are so cheap and easy to replace. I can get 3-4 coppers for the price of 1 platinum, and swap them out yearly for a brand new minty fresh plug
plugs are only $60-70 dont be pinching pennies on them... you can get 15-20k miles on your plugs with FI... I change mine just to make sure the car runs right.. not cuz i need to.

I'm still doubting it'd be noticeable. People with a lot more power then us are still running the same type of plug. If copper was better, more would run it?

I run coppers on TT VQ. copper is a better conductor than iridium.
NGK LFR6A-11 for copper (1 heat range colder)
NGK LFR6AIX-11 for iridiums.
I have found the coppers cheapest on www.boat.net for $4.xx per plug and cheap shipping too.

But the large cooper electrode takes far more energy to fire, vs. a very fine point of iridium. And all things being equal, Iridiums will last much longer. That said, I don't think you'd have any problems running copper plugs, but as mentioned, why take a chance on a part that is relatively inexpensive to begin with.
