They must have solved the actuator + heat problem, I wonder if the other big hurdle is engine management. I guess a piggyback or stand-alone unit would have to read RPM or throttle position and control the vane actuators. God that must be an algorithm from hell. Unless they just use a trial and error approach for discrete states, RPM x + vane position y = boost level z, repeated n times.
