stock flywheel question?high horse power

hello im going to be pushing 700 wheel horse power soon and was wondering if any of you high horsepower guys are running the stock flywheel. I have an after market clutch that can hold the power. I just want to know this bc i plan on purchasing the carbonetics triple disc clutch and flywheel in the future and dont want to waste my money on a flywheel now. I just want to use the oem flywheel with my after market clutch for now and upgrade later. thanks

Don't go cheap on a 700whp ride. You are not wasting money if you are trying to get 700whp to the ground. Do it right the first time and replace the clutch and flywheel.

im not cheaping out i just dont think i will notice a difference at those power levels, it may even help me traction wise since the car wont rev as fast.. plus i will be doing the triple disc by the spring so this is just temporary

At that level then it won't matter. Honestly, I would stay with the stock FW coz mine is annoying under 2000 RPM. I had to heel-toe when making a turn just to stay above 2000rpm so people on the sidewalk wont think there something wrong with my car

Just do it right and put the tripple on now. That way you can break in the motor and clutch at the same time.

I see. You didn't say that in your first post. In that case, I agree with ttrank, just do the triple disk now and break them in together. Why waste money on a temp clutch?

if it were an option trust me i would love to do the triple now but its guna have to wait till spring i still have alot of other stuff going on that i have to take care of...i wont be wasting my money on a temp clutch bc i already have one that can hold that power. i just dont want to fork over the money for an aftermarket flywheel that ill be changing in a few months( it would be a good flywheel bc i would never put junk on my car only the best parts).. plus like i said i probly wont notice the difference...so is anyone running the stock flywheel with high horse?

I would say just do install now and fork over the cash to break in clutch and flywheel, motor at same time. It wuld make more sense that way but I don't know anyone that runs high hp on ours cars with a stock FW

I have the Competition FW coz I got a good deal for it. My first choice would've been the ACT Pro Light Flywheel coz that seem to be the quietest FW out their base on my research.

hey, when you are done let me know so I can drop by and check your car
