Spark Plug Gap
I keep reading conflicting things with spark plugs gap. I hear some say stock gap (.044) is fine for FI applications while low boost (under 10). While others say to decrease spark plug gap to .028.
Also, does take pics of their plug tips after removing them? I have 4 that I just removed that look very similar, while two look slightly different.

I threw in regular copper plugs last night, and I'll be changing them out every 3 oil changes. They were all pregapped to .044, but I narrowed the gap to .38. We'll see how that goes on the dyno. I don't think I should have an issue w/ spark blow out. *crosses fingers*

Car has a couple little things to take care of before I get retuned for the 3rd time. Gotta fix an exhaust leak by installing a new gasket. I put down 345whp, but it was knocking at high RPM so pulled timing and didn't make the most power. My tuner detuned it until I could sort things out. The exhaust leak might have caused false knock. It might have also been a bad batch of gas.

Hey Moog...did you figure out if it was just the Utec seeing knock that wasnt there ? I know several people including my tuner has ran across this problem .
Ive always ran the gap in the plugs at .044 . They always have looked real good whaen pulled . I may close the gap a little before I get the high boost tuned with the new EMS .

i just bought a 2006 g35 sedan about 2 weeks ago with 79k miles on it. I checked the plugs and they looked pretty burned so i decided to change them. I went with the NGK laser double platinum which come at .044 gaped. for some reason i feel like if the ride lost just a little bit of power and i think i waste a little more gas, but i dont know if im trippin or what. i was just wondering if you guys thought .044 was good? or should i had gone with the iridium?

So I just bought my g35 and it has a multi miss fire so im looking for all the information i can get on the car and the things I can do to fix it. I hooked it up to a dignostic machine. And it is saying improper plugs and im fixing to buy a kit on Amazon 6 Denson Platinum TT plugs and 6 ignition coils do u think im making the right decision?

Definitely not making the right decision. There is no code that says "improper plugs", if you have code P0300 which is the multiple misfire then you should start by removing and inspecting all the plugs and coil packs. You might just have one not torqued down properly or you might find damage on the coil pack like a melted boot or something.
If the plugs look worn then replace them with stock NGK plugs, I strongly recommend the stock NGK PLFR5A-11
If you have any other spark code like P0301, 0302, 0303, 0304, 0305, or 0306 then that's for a specific cylinder that's misfiring.
Buying all new coil packs is a waste of money, you might have one or two damaged coils but they typically last a VERY long time and aren't exactly a wearable item.
If you have oil saturation in the spark plug well that's probably why it's misfiring, the spark plug well tube seals are a common failure point and when it fills up about 1" with oil it starts to misfire. Replacing the valve covers if that's the problem.
Troubleshoot! Don't just throw parts at a car hoping something fixes the issue, it's expensive and time consuming.
Here is a link to the factory service manual, spark plugs are in MA - Maintenance, if the well tubes are leaking oil the valve cover replacement is covered in section EM - Engine Mechanical under "rocker cover".
