Yes the pod above the HVAC controls. Are you make the custom gauge pod yourself?? If you are, more power to you, I just thought that you pay somebody else to make one, that's why I asked. Let me either way.

Yes I'm going to make it myself. I have done almost everything to my car myself from the TV's, remote start and big stereo to 15" 12pot brakes, custom dual intakes, quad projector retrofit, and lots more. It's fun as long as I can find time.
The one thing I haven't tried yet (other than the turbo kit install) is molding fiberglass. I'd be insterested in how you make that gauge pod, in hopes of doing so myself at some point.

It's easy to do. I have done everything from a custom A-pillar single gauge setup to $60k CES show cars.
I just finished a driver's side 12" fiberglass box for my sedan.

So it looks like oil temp it is.
I had another good idea sent to me but I can't get it in the Nexus and I want them to match. He said what about IC air temp on the exit side. That would be nice.

yeah, oil temp is the closest reading you can get to knowing just how hot the actual engine is.
coolant temps will go up and down much faster than the oil temps so they're more finicky. I get less nervous about high water temps because it's so much easier to lower, but oil temps take a long time to cool off and really show what's up with the engine.
As much as the stock coolant gauge is totally retarded and not accurate, it'll at least let you know if your coolant temps are actually possibly dangerous or not (260+ degrees)
besides, the greddy isn't water cooled, so that puts more strain on the oil too and we all know turbos get pretty damn hot. IMO the oil temp gauge is a no brainer for the greddy kit
