Ok, maybe safe wasn't the buzz word i was looking to use. Basically, I intend to follow through with my good word. I just would like to build my G in a manner in which i dont have to re-replace parts, or upgrade parts that will need to be replaced later down the line.
Q. will my stock auto transmission be able to handle the ammount of horsepower i am talking about?
1. Are there performance transmissions available?
2. Are there performance modifications that can be done to my transmission?
Q. twin or single?
Q. Does anyone know an arizona mechanic?
Thanks!!

You can get a twin turbo kit (JWT) installed for around ehhh 10k.
Built tranny like 4k
Then built motor, I have no idea cuz I havent looked into it, but lets just say 5k.
Basically you are looking at 20k.

I have been in an M6 and they are pretty fast. I drove it with the "power" button off which limits it to a good 400HP i believe and its still quick. Maybe with the power button in off and a heavily modded G you can do it, not all night long though lol.

ok, let me clarify a few things. I own a G35, not a civic. I do not intend to buy a civic. I love my G35 and have intended on turbo charging it since day one.
On that note... i dont think i can do this ($) all at once. From the sounds of Kleicoupe's optimistic comments, i should probally build the tranny, then engine, then random other upgrades, and finally the turbos.?!?
this is all so exciting.
I vaguely remember reading something about an arizona based company that does good tranny work...

is this your daily driver? because i don't think u wanna drive around with a souped up twin turbo G to CVS.. although that would be sweet but.. i say u go to your pops and tell him u were jokin .. i mean i think your getting a little too carried away, i mean going turbo because that was your plan from the get go is cool but just to stick it to your old man.. apologizing doesn't mean your going back on your word. it takes a man to admit when he's beaten..

a company called www.levelten.com builds bullet proof transmissions. They also sell upgraded torque converters. Good luck.

The biggest factor is going to be the money, you could make a G that is so fast it needs wings and can fly, but you need the money to do that. Just make sure you do it right the first time.

Yeah, but they are trapping as high as 119 mph. Definitely a traction problem. If all you care about is ETs in the 1/4 mile, then you're missing how important a trap speed is.
How fast does the M6 trap?

It's a combination of weight, traction and power. The very best M6 time I've seen was 12.6 at 116, which is right around what a built TT G can get you and the M6 weights 3900 lbs. The idea drag car would have great traction, light weight and gobs of power, but we are transforming big heavy luxury cars into drag cars and the times reflect such. So a stripped out turbo Honda Civic may very well pull an 11 second quarter mile, but will he do it on heated seats and while listening to songs on his 9 gig hard drive?
You also have to consider there are three times as many FI Z's than there are FI G's. It's merely numbers and simple differences between a G and Z owner. Most G owners do not buy the car to drag race. However, given the Z and G drivetrain similarities, you can take one of the fastest TT Z's 1/4 mile time of 11.1 and one of it's highest trap of 129 mph and get an idea of what a FI G can do with the same power...just add .3 to .4 to the ET and about 3-4 mph on the trap. I've personally ran the drag strip alone and with a passenger, so I know what additional weight does to your trap and ET. With that said, I'm positive that are G's in the 11's. They just aren't posted on the forums.
