SuperCharger noises

Hey, I was wondering if the vortech or the ati-procharger sounds different then the Stillen Supercharger? I heard a g' with the stillen kit and the whine was really loud. Are the other s/c kits this loud? If I were to go FI'd, I think I would get annoyed hearing a super loud whine after awhile since my G is a dd. Also, is it normal for vortech s/c kits to rattle on idle? Thanks!

I hate to say it, but please do some research.

Vortech sounds nothing like the Stillen. It's more of a Jet-Like sound for the Vortech, whereas the Stillen sounds like a screaming cat

Not so sure about the ProCharger.

Yeh my Vortech rattled at idle so much...it was so annoying. I got my RPMs bumped and it is much better.

I can tell you, going Vortech...it was much louder than I had originally anticipated it to be. I'm used to it now. But you will definitely be able to hear it. Sounds great at WOT.

If you search around on here and my350z you should be able to find some Vortech videos.

I personally kind of like that bitchy whine sound the stillen makes, pretty unique. My Procharger after installed I thought their was something wrong with the Unit, thats how loud and obnoxious it sounds Its a bunch of noises put together, a whine, sounds like a cricket etc. at idle. But as for Vortech, it is pretty quite compare to others.

Thanks for the vids! I know first hand how the stillen sounds, initially I was impressed, but it became annoying for me to be a passenger in the car and hearing the loud whine at wot after a while, although its funny to see the look on peoples faces when they hear the s/c whine . When you say you bumped the idle rpm's to 900, did you do it at the dealer, or did you do it with a different engine management system? So if the rpm's are at 900 then the rattle wont be audible anymore?
Another question: I know centrifugal s/c has a bypass valve, similar to bov except the bypass is always open, but has anyone ever tried to put a bov on their s/c, and was there any consequences? I noticed alot of ATI prochargers have a different bypass vavle, I think it was turbo xs, but does anyone have it on their vortech? How does the Turbo XS compared to the stock valve? THanks!
