Procharger Belts
well about a month ago...my main drive gear rubbed against my mounting bracet and caused some serious damage to my gears and bracet...i got a new one"per procharger' and when a different tuner shop installed the new one...'per procharger' they ran my main drive belt a different way...below are pics of how it was before and after...will this make a difference..or should i make them re-run it?

Personally, I have never seen a cogged belt go over a smooth pulley, like the new way they ran the belt.
However, mine was installed by SGP and they ran the belt over the top also. In the last nearly 2 years I haven't had any kind of issue as far as slip or anything goes. That being said, you should be fine

well originally mine was over the top...but for some reason this other place ran it under...im going to ask them if theres a difference...but it seems to run the same
For the Vortech it actually works better when you do that, people do that so the belts have less chance of slipping, I don't know about Procharger though, but if it works heck why not.

well the belt does seem like it would slip less the way its ran now....but with it being so tight will that restict my motor in any way???
prochargers have problems with a cogged belt slipping? That seems crazy.
the only belt that really causes excess wear is the serptine belt. Alternator and water pump are not meant to have that much tension on them (esp bad with the vortech)

i havent had any slipping..'knock on wood'..but ive only had my kit up and running about a month now...and its only been driven with the kit on it about 7/8 times
the blower that comes with the kit is good for 26psi however ATI only sells a 14psi pulley. I will know the exact psi of boost on friday after we tune. There is one guy on my350z workin on a 22psi custom pulley. but so far his belts last him only a few weeks.
I know there are a few guys on the 350z forums running that pulley setup with smooth to smooth and seem to think its better for not skippin or slippin.
