UTEC map? Vortech/440s

Hi guys... I tried searching, UTEC maps seem to be fiercely guarded. Anyone have one so that I could get it to the local tuners (~50 miles out) without put-putting too bad?

Vortech 3.33 (for now)
Headers/hi-flo/exhausts
440cc injectors
fuel return/Walboro

Please PM me or email me if you have one I could use.
Thanks in advance!

UTEC has base maps you can download. Just don't get into boost and you'll be fine.

Use the TN kit base map then adjust the zero column. Do you have a wideband installed?

Unfortunately, I don't have a wideband installed. I'll definitely look into it.
I'll try the Turbonetics base map and see how it goes (and stay out of boost).

Thanks.

Hah... that's a way to do it...

I'm not sure. I just looked up the tuners on the TurboXS website. Do you have any suggestions?

Don't be cheap, just tow the car It will make everything so much easier and less stressful!

Either way you need a Wideband (Must have guage IMO) so just get that and load a TN Map to start. Then just scale your injector via 0 Column in Utec and make sure stay away from boost. This will get you started http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=338543

Will not work if you have a bigger injector.

OP, One other quick way is use your stock Injector for now and drive your car to the shop and make sure stay away from boost (ECU can handle 1-3psi). It takes 30-45 minutes to change the injector so do that once you are at your tuner.

Thanks for the options, guys.

I do have a trailer so it's not actually that huge a deal to tow it over there. It's just a pain in the *** to haul the trailer around; I could probably get to the tuner in the same time as it takes me to set the car up on the trailer.

I tried this weekend to adjust the UTEC a little bit and load some base maps onto it but for some reason, my serial port, or the HyperTerminal, or the UTEC itself is taking a dump everytime I enter the "Edit Maps" mode. Quite annoying. I'm going to try on a different computer to see if it's my hardware.

I should be able to scale the injectors and stay out of boost. If any of you have any knowledge about getting the UTEC to work on your computer (or getting it to work on my computer rather), please let me know.

Thanks!

Are you using straight Serial? Some people had problem loading new Map using a USB to Serial cable.

Yeah... I'm using straight serial. I tried it on my work computer today and it does the same thing. After about 40sec to 1 minute, it stops responding and displays: ýUUÕUõUýU UýUýõ or some other garbage. Then, I have to exit HyperTerminal and pull the battery out of the unit, wait a little bit and plug it in again. Just to have it work for another 40 seconds.

Any advice?

Have you decided on which tuner to tune your car yet?
