wiring gauges

Is it safe to splice my constant 12v and switched 12v wires into the radio harness? I will be running 3 guages and a greddy profec b spec II controller. will this overload the wires?

Why not run it straight from the fuse box with a new in-line fuse? It would probably be OK joined in with the radio, but why take the chance for an extra 2 feet of wire?
